My Dear Palestine

My dear Palestine,
I wonder what it's like
Watching your sky at night
What it's like to get wet under
Your rain, what it's like to
Walk under your sunlight &
Not complain about it being too hot,
I mean it's my dearest, the one whose
My heart for has a weak spot,
My dear Palestine,
In my mind I'm always busy
Writing narratives of how our
Days could have turned if the
Enemy didn't by force try to
Have you gone, I imagine days
Full of life where I belong & never
A dull moment where people
Do wrongs & expect others to
Tag along
My dear Palestine,
Do you feel the same?
Do you think we still have
The right to have our hearts
By you be claimed without
Feeling guilt or blame?
Without feeling the need
To explain why we belong
Even if we're not there?
My dear Palestine,
Unseeing you is unseeing the
Only truth that should be seen
So how could I take my eyes
Off of you just because I'm far
Away from your vivid scene?
They're robbing us of what
Makes us & that is you my dear
So I only get to see you from
My small screen...
