Young Kids

The stranger is I, a truth I cannot buy
my monsters live within me and from
myself I cannot hide, I learned how to
swim but I lost myself in the tide
what is it about life that we lose our minds?
young kids with a future ahead but some on
our will to live are trying to bid,
to live isn't easy but it's harder
when we have to give,
Times can't go back to how we used to be
little kids in love, in a world so stress-free
when our biggest dream was a nap under
a tree after a long day of playing under the
sun, we're older now so we try to go for a run
but sometimes it works and often it don't
What is it about worries that we cannot escape
so much pain on a piled up train that we can't take
young kids with more than old brains,
trying to find a way to live this life without
putting so much at stake
